Jonathan Reason - John

Jonathan Reason’s film credts as an actor include the recent Cannes hit Triads, Yardies and Onion Bhajees, and the newly completed Camp X-Ray: Ghosts of Guantanamo. He is also well known to UK and international television audiences as Mickey in Eldorado for the BBC.

David Kershaw - Simon

David Kershaw David was born and educated in London’s East End and trained at RADA. He was last seen in 2003’s Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life and is best-known for his five-year stint as DC Ben Lomax in the BBC’s much loved detective drama Bergerac.

Alexandra London-Thompson - Jacynthe

Alexandra London-Thompson first gained attention as a child star in the successful 1991 Canadian feature El Verano del Potro (Summer of the Colt), and has worked regularly in the USA and the UK ever since.

Heather Coombs - Julie

Heather Coombs is a very familiar face on the television comedy scene in the UK, appearing in My Hero, Heartburn Hotel, People Like Us and Rhona for the BBC. She has also appeared in Feral Children, The Real Dr. Crippen, Family Affairs and Manchild.

Nikki Brown - Vicky

Nikki Brown is fast-rising on the UK Indie movie scene, starring in the recently completed London Voodoo. Encounters is her second feature. Theatre work includes Odysseus / Chorus in Hecuba, Mamma / Louella in Stamping Shouting and Singing Home.

Jenna Shaw - Sue

Since graduating from Arts Ed, Jenna has worked mainly in the theatre, namely Little Women (Bloomsbury Theatre), World Cafe (Hampstead), Songbirds Ltd (Courtyard Theatre), You’re Gonna Love Tomorrow (Greenwich Playhouse) and The Treason Show (Komedia, Brighton).

Hannah Smith

Hannah Smith is a well-known leading actress in commercial and classical theatre around the UK, and is making her screen debut in Encounters.

Matthew Worthington - Mateuz

Matthew Worthington has featured in a number of short films for up-and-coming UK directors since leaving Drama Centre. Encounters is his first leading role in a feature film.

Patrick Thornton - Peter

Since completing Encounters, Patrick Thornton has been snapped up by the BBC to play a major role in Undone, and has also featured in Fairytale: A True Story directed by Charles Sturridge.

Deborah Jeffrey - Ruth

Deborah Jeffrey came to Encounters from her successful lead role in Frank Zappa’s Thing Fish, and Franco Zeffirelli’s opera production of Pagliacci. Primetime British TV appearances include The Office, EastEnders, The Bill, Murphy’s Law and Red Cap. She can seen in Mira Nair’s film of Vanity Fair.
